these three photos were put on the same blog post only for the reasons of the poses and looks on the people’s and animals face. the first photo is kind of chilling because they both look like they know something you don’t and seem to be smirking as if they’ll never tell there secret to you. The second photo is successful because of the tone on his skin and pose he is holding. I like the foreground and background in the picture Josh is in balancing it out and making it have good composition. The third photo is of my cousins Dog Treasure, I like the side view and that he is looking straight into the camera which makes you have more of a connection with him than if he wasn’t. Although the lighting’s unbalanced in the last photo i don’t think it takes away from it and it is still successful.

these three photographs, although not having the best composition accomplish more of a “day in the life” sort of concept which i like. it shows jess hanging out with friends, playing(skateboarding), and also a little bit of his personality in the last one which i ithink is sometimes very hard to capture in photos. the complexion on their faces in the first photo makes it successful as well as the lighting from the sun. the second photo is successful because of the action in the shot and the space between his feet and the ground, as well as the lines created from his skateboard and hands. the third photo i feel is solely successful only based on the pose and look on his face.

These were some of the pictures that i had taken at the zoo, most all of them i didn’t like, even these i think aren’t that appealing to the eye. one thing that i had a hard time with at the zoo was getting good angles with the animals and close up to them. The two barriers that created this for me was the fact most of  the animals were in in closed areas and also because most of them were in corners, for instance her the tigers. the only picture i really like here is the one of the giant tortoise, the contrast between him and his shadow adds to the picture, as well as the placement of him in the picture. the picture of the macaw is also somewhat ok, the only thing i think it has going for it is the angle it creates with its body.

this triptych turned out exactly the way i wanted it to and if you scroll down my page you can see the original picture of where i got my idea. this assignment turned out well for me because i used a sharp contrast as well as some very bent lines creating a mystery to the three pictures. if there would be anything that i would like to change it would probably be the use of my own body , i would’ve like to have shot someone else but the intimacy and fact that the person being shot would be nude made it hard for me to find a model.

i like every one of these photos, i think in every one of these photos my main focus is obvious and i like that for these. the first is my two friends, the second is the oil spill and the woman, and the third is Gina.  my use of shape and line for these make the pictures i think. the first the two  faces , the second is the oil spill, and the third is Ginas facial expression.  the body language in all of these make them successful.

These photographs are all taken around thanksgiving break and because of this convey family and a friend. the lighting in all three are pretty consistent and because they are all portraits of people have alot of lines and not that much background making them pretty successful. Because of my consistent shooting, my success prevails.

these pictures were all taken the same day , it was on the day of the bomb threat and with that knowledge i think adds a little more to the pictures. I used alot of lines like my other photographs and also some heavy contrast like the two girls on the white wall and the one of gina and her cat.  in the first photo their is also alot of space that i like and adds to that photo. these are all successful because they all convey some body language in them which i think is important when taking pictures of people.

These photgraphs have different focuses , i guess the main focus is the middle of the dry cleaners and the other two were just shot while my full attention was somewhere else. the use of line in the dry cleaner photograph creates a wispy feeling from the steam and also the texture adds to that feeling. i feel what makes these photographs succesful is the use of line and downward look of them creating an angle. If i could change anything i would change the angle of the dry cleaners photograph. My work habits are contributing succesfully to my pictures and gave me a variety to choose for this post.

The client job I have been working on with Kelly is going fairly well. The only real problems we have had is meeting with our clients because of the time they are out of the classroom and the time we have to go and talk to them on what we are working on. One way to improve this would be to talk with them more frequently or go in the mornings when they are more likely to be there. As far as time management goes we are doing a great job with that and have been giving them plenty of examples to choose from for advertisements and buy ten get one free cards. I have been working very hard on this assignment and feel I deserve full credit, Kelly has done an excellent job guiding me and also deserves full credit for all of the hard work she has done.
